I enjoyed (the Trabant video) immensely. The film had a lot of great
information, as well as a lot of historic footage. Most of the footage I had
not seen before, and I was very pleased to see it. Any Trabant enthusiast
should see this film.

Having been lucky enough to watch a preview copy, I can confirm that the film is an essential addition to every Trabi archive. Although it does cover some ground that will seem obvious to IFA club members (and one-or-two ‘lost in translation’ facts that some may not altogether agree with!), most of its 62 minutes make really interesting viewing.
It includes a wonderful smorgasbord of meticulously-digitised archive footage from the Zwickau factory and from period Trabant promotional propaganda and ‘self-help’ films. Also, the interviews with Sachsenring top-brass and explanations of factory processes - the formation of Duroplast for instance - are fascinating. As a bonus feature, the DVD includes an hilarious full-length Trabant ‘infomercial’ in English.

Not only the Trabant is cool, also the documentary is! We were happily surprised to see that there (are) new items being discussed about the Trabi and not just the old stuff (that) everybody already knows about!
Generally it is really good. In the scale from 1 (to) 10 we give the documentary (a) 7. We as Trabant & Wartburg club are really looking forward for other DVD's from Infinnitor Films about Wartburg, Barkas or MZ motorcycles.
